My First iMovie Trailer: The Hero in You
This week we had the opportunity to create trailers for our Ed Tech class over many different subjects. I chose to do my video over bullying and how students can be the hero in the story. Before I could work on my video project I had to work an app called iMovie. I have used this app before to do a few projects in high school before I did this project so I have some prior knowledge of it. This app is pretty simple to use as long as you go over the instructions and look at the demos that are provided. There are a few things that I wish you could change about it though. One would be to change the music in the trailers and be given more options. Another would be to be able to take out certain scenes or lines in the video. Overall it was a good app to use to make videos with and would recommend teachers using it for their classes, but it might serve better to the upper levels of the elementary.
After I played around with the app for a few minutes, I decided to get to work on my video. I decided to do my video on bullying because it is such a widespread issue that every school has faced. My video is about being a superhero in one's own school to help stop bullying. I want kids to see that even if they aren't the bully, they are still part of the problem if they don't try to do anything about it. I really enjoyed making this video and can hopefully work on more future projects similar to this one!
